Trama:

La serie, disegnata in classica animazione giapponese invece che in computer grafica, vede come protagonisti nuovi robot del gruppo Maximal (in giapponese Cybertron) capitanati da Lio Convoy, fiero combattente dal cuore d’oro e dalla mente sofisticatamente intelligente, che diventa un leone albino. Gli altri protagonisti del gruppo Maximal sono ClawJaw, un polpo dalla spiccata intelligenza, e il mandrillo B’boomb (Apache) e il leone bruno Lio Junior i quali, unendosi ad altri due Maximal, formano Magnaboss. Il gruppo rivale, votato alla distruzione e alla conquista del mondo, è quello dei Predacon (chiamati Destron). Il leader dei Predacon è Lord Galvatron, robot in grado di trasformarsi in una sorta di trivella drago.
